About Me

My photo
I am a young female journalist in the middle of the map. I began to blog as an outlet to the injustices I see everyday- be they major, comedic or simply an overload of what is in my own head. I don't think I can change the world with my blog, but changing my own is a damn good start (cue MJ "Man in the Mirror"...humor folks.)

Rainy Day Ramblings

Contrary to popular belief, the library on campus stays packed, on any given evening and on Sundays! After huffing and puffing up the stairs and weaving by slow-pokes in the way, I make it to an available computer. Even better, its working today!

I'm one paragraph into a seven page paper. I have one window open, 6 tabs, three of which are Youtube pages. I'm thinking about everything but my paper, looking at some of the books, and then it hits me: what a COMPLETE waste of time it was learning how to use the card catalog back in elementary!

Random I know, but seriously, when was the last time you had to pull out a drawer about two inches deep filled with beige cards, and search through them to find a book you wanted? Right. The only time you have to even touch paper in the library is when you've found the book you were looking for!

Point of the story: I want that hour we spent in the fifth grade learning how to use the card catalog, that was all but obsolete years later, back. Time for recess.
